A good number of kenyans had a hard time purchasing Kenya Power tokens over the weekend with some still saying the problem has persisted.
Kenya power said they are doing everything they can to restore everything in place.
Kenya power mpesa paybill number seemed to have had a problem as users who tried to pay through the usual 888880 digits got a reply that “the organization receiving the payment is unavailable”
“We have managed to address the IT hitch affecting the system but vending of tokens remains slow due to a big number of customer transactions,” KPLC said.
Kenyans have recently expressed disatisfaction with Kenya Power services due to power outages that often affect operation of businesses and leave homes in darkness.
There have also been calls to end Kenya Power monopoly in power provision business in the country as big companies now considering other cheaper sources of energy to run their operations.
