Deputy President William Ruto yesterday said he gave up campaigning in Nyanza because he feared Raila will cause people to stone his vehicles.
Ruto wa speaking in Eldoret where he blamed Raila for blocking his efforts to campaign in Nyanza regions like Kisumu, Migori, Siaya and Homabay.
“It is unfortunate that we cannot go to Kisumu, Siaya, Nyanza, Homa Bay and Migori because our good friend who pretends to be a democrat cannot allow anyone to go to his backyard. We have tried to go,” He said.
He said that when he tried visiting the region, violence emerged with his vehicles being stoned.
“As the deputy president, I cannot go to Nyanza because they stoned my vehicles,” he said added.
