Teachers Service Commission Union of primary and post primary education have rejected the model used by Salaries and Remuneration Commission to increase their salary.
The Union says they did not expect that model which goes against the model they had agreed on earlier.
According to the recent model being used by SRC, public servants are being gadded between 7 and 10% salary increase in a span of two years.

TSC expected between 30 na 40 percent salary increase as that was the earlier agreement between them and SRC.
The Union refused to sign the proposal by SRC and are expected to convene a meeting next week to char a way forward.
“We expect a better deal given the high cost of living, high taxes and as well as the recent house levy that was imposed by the government,” TSC chairperson said.
