Nyeri senator Wahome Wamatinga warned Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja that his impeachment could be due if he dared disrespect Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The Senator was speaking in a funeral service in Mathira constituency, saying Sakaja must accord the deputy president the respect he deserves as he’s the one who mobilized for his election as Nairobi Governor.
Kikuyus will not be threatened. Rigathi should be respected,” Wamatinga said
Wamatanga also poked into Sakaja’a Education papers which was a major talk in the public towards the 2022 August general elections.
“Your papers belong to Gikomba. Those are bought papers. If you play with us we will impeach you,” he said.

This comes after a rhetoric speech where the DP strongly talked against Sakaja’s plan to ban Matatu’s in the CBD saying it will negatively affect Kikuyu Businesses.
Sakaja has since denied that there is a rift between him and the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The story that have been going round of Sakaja’s plan to modernize Nairobi by one way banning Matatus in the CBD may be questioned by an “upright’ kenyan that, if Kenyan Major cities must compete and look as seriously organized as the ones in the developed countries, Will Kenya achieve this if key leaders continue playing tribal politics instead of transforming the country for the better?
Any Kenyan who has visited Dubai or Seoul or Paris or Tokyo will surely be ashamed of Nairobi’s muddles.
