Deputy President William Ruto has hit out on the government saying that those responsible should take care of the economic situation in the country.
Ruto has asked those who were given responsibility by the President such as the parliamentary sub-committees to sit, meet and give way forward on how to remedy the current financial situation in the country.
“It is time for those who were given responsibilities by the President to assume those responsibilities, provide advice to government so that the right decision can be made to manage the current situation where the fuel prices are going up,” he said.
The DP was speaking to Kandara Constituency grass root leader at his Karen residences on Thursday.

Ruto’s comments comes at a time when the Energy and Regulation commission announced hike in petrol in the country.
A litre of petrol in Nairobi now costs Sh134.72 from Sh127.14, while that of diesel has risen to Sh115.60 from Sh107.66 with kerosene going at Sh110.82 from Sh97.85.
Today different parts of the country suchwa Migori saw street protests against tye hiked fuel prices.
