In an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, Raila revealed that Its is the outgoing Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson Wafula Chebukati that should be blamed for bungling August elections making him lose to William Ruto.
He said Chebukati is “a criminal who should be prosecuted and sentenced to jail for his role in the August General Election.
Thev Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate was sure of being elected president in his 5th Attempt bus lost to William Ruto and has never accepted the defeat despite the Supreme Court ruling against his appeal of the matter.
Four out of seven IEBC commissioners were also against the results and came out to distance themselves.
“For the first time, Kenyans saw an electoral commission that was divided, not in the middle, but four out of seven commissioners disputed the results, meaning a majority of the commissioners said the results were not a reflection of how Kenyans had voted,” Odinga added.
