Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday received a group of new defectors from Meru County to the party at orange house.
The leaders included Former PS lands Kirinya Mukira, Former ANC chairman Meru Jacob Nairoti, Upper Savannah MCA Duncan Kimemia ,Julie Gathire, Gitonga Muku, Buuri MCA Lucy Mukaria and Secondina Kanini.
During the event Raila said that Azimio La Umoja aims to unite all Kenyans without discrimination as that was the key vision of Kenya’s founders.
“Unaanza na kuwa Mkenya kabla hujakuwa Mmeru, Embu, Kikuyu au Mluya, hio ni batizo tu. Hakuna mmoja wenu hapa aliyechagua kuwa Mmeru, ni mapenzi ya Mungu,” Odinga said.
