Over 10 estates in Nairobi were left in darkness on friday after heavy rain left Nairobi west Power Station in floods.
Kenya Power said due to flooding of Nairobi west substation, it switched off power super supply in the affected areas as a precautionary measure.
Among the estates affected were: Nairobi West, Lower Hill, Five Star Estate, Mbagathi Way, Civil Servants Estate, Parts of Lang’ata and South C.
Kenya Meteorological Department has informed Kenyans to expect more rain in the coming months, drive carefully when its raining to avoid accidents and move away from arears likely to get flooded when it rains.
Seven people were reported dead in Nairobi on Thursday alone in floods due to heavy raining.

The rain also saw learning across the country hampered. Two school in Kisumu county, Kasagam and St. Mark had their compounds and class rooms flooded when river Auji broke its banks due to heavy downpour.
