Modern Coast bus Company have given their customers an alternative assuring them that their planned travel won’t be interfered with.
The company has assured customers that those who earlier made booking Particularly in their three routes will be able to travel to their destinations as planned.
Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, on December 30, 2022, announced suspension of the company’s travel operations following an accident that occured in kisii County leaving scores injured and one dead.
After The Kisii accident, one of Modern Coast Buses had an accident In Uganda.
“Today morning our bus destined for Kampala from Kigali KCU 054L was involved in an accident with a Volcano Bus near Rwahi village on the Kampala – Gatuna road,” a statement by the company stated on 30th December 2022.
Another accident by one of the company buses occurred at Nithi Bridge in Tharaka Nithi County Leaving several dead and injured in July last year.

Following the incidents, the company had its operation license for Mombasa-Highway (Upcountry), Nairobi-Malindi and Nairobi-Upcountry and vice versa suspended by the Transport Minister.
“Following the suspension of our operation license by the Ministry of Road and Transport, the aforementioned routes shall remain closed until advised further,” the bus company said in a twitter post.
“Customers who had booked advanced tickets on the affected routes shall be booked to travel with another bus company to their respective destinations, same date and same time.”
