On 27/04/2022 at around 1400Hrs, clearance patrol intercepted two suspects in between this FOB and HORBATI.
They were onboard a motorbike, and coming from BURAHACHE town near Kenya Somali boarder. They alleged to have been on their way traveling to Gherille Som.
The motorbike was loaded with the following:
11x AK-47 rifles
13x magazines
210x rounds (7.62x39mm)
1x pouches
3x Phones
Red rebon
Food stuffs (dates, biscuits, milk, etc)
Medicines
5Ltrs Petrol
1x blanket
Reports indicate that the suspect are related to terror group Al-shaabab and that the firearms were intended for a terror operation.
