Lurambi villagers in Kakamega demand to fulfill Isukha tradition after bull kills woman

Sisasari police station in Kakamega County is detaining a man and his bull after the bull killed a woman in the area.

After the incident the villagers are now demanding to perform Isukha tradition which involves slaughtering the bull and dividing its meat amongst themselves. According to the tradition, the victim’s family however must to est the meat of the bull.

The bull is said to have attacked the woman while she and her son were taking a walk along the road.

The victim’s five ribs were broken; she also had deep wounds in the head and the abdomen.

One of the witnesses said the bull came face to face with the old woman before ploughing through her.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital but died while receiving treatment.
