Governor Nyong’o has suspended County Askaris whose bestial act of dragging a woman on the road went Viral on social media.
“While away in Nairobi on official Council of Governors’ meetings, I have been saddened and shocked by a very unfortunate incident in Kisumu, following the arrest and mishandling of a lady trader by the City’s enforcement officers yesterday morning,” Nyong’o said on his tweeter account where he also attached a letter directing the dismissal of the county Askaris.
Nyong’o said county Askaris should observe human rights while carrying their duties.
He also encouraged Kisumu dwellers to adhere to regulations by the county government.
