Due to the ongoing Construction of Lessos- Lanet transmission, Kenya power released a statement on March 26 of a plan to swich off Electricity power on Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28 from 7.00am to 5.00 pm.
A new 220Kv Olakarai-Lessos-Kibos power line is under construction to help create a consistent power supply in the western region.
The statement explained that the power outage is part of government plan to strengthen electricity power supply and infrastructure all over the country.
Among the counties to be affected in rift valley and western region include; Trans-nzoia, Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Kakamega, Busia, Bungoma,Siaya , Migori, Vihiga, Nyamira and Kisii.
