The hearing for Sharon’s murder trial is scheduled to be held for ten consecutive days from July 5 to July where Governor Obado and his co-accused, Casper Obiero and Juma Oyamo are to face trial for murdering the university student on September 2018.
Sharon was murdered alongside his unborn child. She was also said to have had an intimate relationship with the governor.
The prosecution has prepared a total of 37 witnesses to testify against Obado and his co-accused.
The three pleaded not guilty and were released on bond.
Due to Covid-19, the trials that were supposed to commence on 16 March 2020 were postponed.
Sharon’s Murder is one that drew attention countrywide with many calling for perpetrators to be brought to justice.
Obado was released on a ksh 5 million bail with two sureties of the same amount
