Police in Migori are investigating what lead to the stabbing of a form four candidate who was scheduled to sit for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) starting today.
According to DCI social media post, the incident occurred at around 10pm yesterday in kamagambo, Rongo sub-county when neighbors heard someone scream in pain from the house where the boy was. When the neighbors rushed to the house, they could not get in because it was locked from inside.
When the police came, A 27 year old woman, Joyce Achieng’ Amondi opened the door. The neighbors were shocked to find the boy fighting for his life in a pool of blood. The boy was rushed to the hospital but died hours later.
Police arrested the woman found in the house and seized a kitchen knife stained with blood believed to have been used for the murder.
“Police are investigating the motive behind the murder,” read a police statement.
