Five counties are at the moment under investigations by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission for the misuse of billions of shillings during the Covid 19 period. The investigations are looking into the manner in which counties were procuring and awarding tenders.
Twalib Mbarak, EACC chief executive officer has pointed that investigations has showed tender and procurement illegalities leading to lose of billions of shillings.
“We are investigation the manner in which five counties procured their services and employed staff in the period and soon we shall arrest some senior people over this,” Twalib said as reported by The Standard.
He was talking in Naivasha’s Enashipai Spa after an integrity course of senior KDF officers.
On the KEMSA scandle the EACC boss defended his commission saying they had completed their investigation and handed their report to the DIC for an action.
