Ethics and Anti-corruption commission has moved to recover salaries and benefits that a government official has been earning while employed.
Kenneth Mugo, the accised, has been working as a Superintendent Engineer at the Ministry of Roads. EACC had discovered that Mugo used fake academic degree to secure a job at the Ministry.
He had also worked at the County Government of Kiambu, a job which he also secured using a fake certificate.
At the time of being charged in December 2023, he had attained a masters and a PHD which is said he enrolled for using the fake degree.
