Detectives apprehend a child trafficker suspect, reunite child with parents

Ismael Hassan, the three years old boy who disappeared mysteriously while playing with other children at Soko Mjinga in Nyanchwa Kisii County, was yesterday re-united with his parents.

 It was a great joy for the parents and relatives of the boy who had been making a fanatical search for the past five days.

After a fruitless search on the first day Hassan disappeared without a trace, the parent and relatives filled a missing child report at Nyanchwa Police station in Kitutu Central.

Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officers suspected one Ruth Moraa who they had prifiled her past history of kidnapping children.

Moraa was arrest in Keumbu after engaging the police in a five day cat and dog chase, DCI wrote on its Facebook Page. She was in a hideout at a relative’s house at the time of her arrest. The lost boy Hassan was rescued from her custody.
