Ruto won’t participate in Presidential debate, UDA cites biased media coverage

In a letter released today, the United Democratic Alliance has said it da advised its presidential flag bearer wiliam Ruto not to participate in the incoming presidential debate. Ruto’s party is citing biased media coverage as its reason. “We wish to highlight the notorious instance of runaway abuse of public bandwidth by Royal Media Services… The Daily Nation complements these abuses by becoming their print counterpart,” read part of the letter. “Under the current partisan media environment, we have advised our candidate against participating in the Presidential debate.”

Kenya plans to dominate LPG supply in the region

Kenya in a bid to cut neighboring Tanzania dominance is in the process of constructing the biggest import and storage LPG facility in the coast. This idea comes a few days after Kenya banned gas imports from Tanzania through Namanga boarder citing massive irregularities by businesses involved. The 25,000 tones storage facility will connect to the Sh42 billion new Kipevu Oil Terminal (KOT) 2 at Mombasa port. Shock in a Meru Village as church Keshas causes rise in teenage pregnancies

Residents of Athwana ward in Tigania West have come out to protest the number of teenage pregnancies in the village allegedly being caused by endless prayer night vigils (Keshas) by one of the local churches. The every-night vigils have also resulted to school dropouts, truancy and lack of concentration during classes as pupils dozed during lessons.
