Bouncers attack police and journalists during a Shisha joint raid
The National Authority for Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has condemned the attack on the journalists when the police raided a shisha joint on Friday night in Kilimani Nairobi. The Journalists went to cover the raid when they were attached by the bouncers and their cameras taken. “In an unfortunate and unprecedented turn of events, the security team at the club resorted to violence and in the process seriously injured journalists and police officers conducting the operation;” NACADA chairperson said. 21 people have been arrested so far.

On January 5 the Ugandan government announced that Kiswahili will be made a compulsory subject in both primary and secondary schools in the country.
