It has been a tough week for parents especially after the surprised announcement of school re-opening of Grade 4, Class 8 and Form 4 students by the Ministry of Education. Parents have been on the run to ensure their children return back to school with all the requirements needed. The students will also need to have protective equipments like, face masks which are supposed to be worn while in and out of school. The Ministry of Education also urged all school heads to ensure they provide enough water for handwash while in school and also sanitizers.
Classes to be conducted according to the measures provided including other co-curriculum activities. This will also be observed with boarders who are supposed to strictly follow the social distancing in dormitories as well. Parents have however expressed their frustrations with the shut down of businesses and loss of jobs due to the pandemic of corona virus and had no option but to comply with the big announcement which was a big blow on their side.
