Three people died and several others injured when a bus they were traveling on hit an Improvised Explosive device in Koromey.
One of the survivors of the attack, Mr Ali Harun said there were 40 passengers in the bus. He said they left at 6am and Passed through Fino heading to Mandera town.
“I suddenly found myself in the thicket when the bus approached Koromey at around 8am,” he said.
Authorities believe that the attackers targeted government officials transporting Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams.
The surviving victims of the attack were taken to Mandera County Referral Hospital. The hospital management called upon the public to donate blood to save those who survived the attack said to be in dire need of blood
